Arizona Milk Producers various Must be a high school senior, graduating in 2010 Weekly (See Mrs. DiMauro for exact dates)
Must have already enrolled or plan to enroll in an AZ univeristy as a full time student for the 2010 fall term
Employees and family members of the AZ Milk Producers are not eligible.
All entries must include name, complete address and telephone number, a milk mustache photo of yourself, a paragraph (not to exceed 150 words) on why you drink milk, include a lable from milk or cheese (copies accepted).

Burgur King Scholars from 9/14/09 through 2/1/10 Must plan to enroll in an accredited two or four year college, university or vocational/technical school Applications available online from 9/14/09 to 2/1/10
Must be employed part time - at least 10 hours per week - does not have to be at Burger King
Must be actively involved in community service activities
Must demonstrate financial need
KFC Colonel's Scholars   Must be a current high school senior in an accredited public high school in AZ Online applications available 12/1/09 through 2/10/10
Must have a minimum GPA of 2.75 or higher
Must be enrolling in a public, in-state college or university, starting no later than 9/30/10
Must plan to pursue a bachelor's degree
Must be a US citizen or permanent resident
Must be an AZ resident.
ASU Hispanic Community Partnership Scholarship   Must be a current high school senior February 1, 2010
Must plan to pursue an undergraduate degree at ASU
Must be in the top 20% of your graduating class
Scholarship may be used toward educational expenses including tuition & fees, housing, books and other costs of attendance.
Must be an AZ resident for tuition purposes
Cannot be receiving other ASU institutional merit scholarships
ASU Latino  Alumni Association   Scholars will agree to complete a "Diablo core" set of classes February 1, 2010
Must display a consitent commitment to inolvement and/or leadership in the Chicano/Latino community, especially in community service activities
Hispanic Women's Corporation Scholars   Must be an AZ resident February 1, 2010
Must be admitted to ASU as a full-time undergraduate degree-seeking student, maintaining a minimum of 24 credit hours
Your scholarship may not be combined with ASU institutional merit scholarship
Scholarship may be bused toward your educational expenses including tuition and fees, housing, books and other costs of attendance.
Anne Frank Teens Make a Difference Community Service Award   On a separate page, list your volunteer/community service activities February 12, 2010
Prepare a 250-300 word essay on the topic: "Although Anne Frank did not have the opportunity to fulfill her potential, she made an enormous impact in the world in her few short years.  How might the work that you do make an impact?"
Submit one letter of recommendation from an adult associated with your community service.  This must include a contact phone number.
U of A Black Alumni Scholarship   Must be a US citizen or permanent resident February 22, 2010
Must be an AZ resident.
Must have a minimum GPA of 3.0 or higher
Must be a current high school senior
Must be admitted to the U of A and enrolled as a full time student
Must demonstrate a level of commitment to the African American community, performing community service within the African American community.
Dorrance Scholarship Program $45,000 Must be the first in the family to attend college and complete a four year degree February 25, 2010
Must have a 3.0 GPA (weighted or unweighted)
Must have a combined SAT score of 1040 or composite ACT score of 22
Must demonstrate financial need as determined by a completed FAFSA
Must demonstrate leadership and commitment to serving others on tehir campus and in their community
Must have been accepted to one of AZ's three state universities
ASU Parents Association Scholarship   Must be a US citizen or permanent resident February 25, 2010
Must be admitted to ASU for fall 2010 and enroll and maintain as a full time undergraudate student at least 12 credit hours
Must have a minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA
Must have a completed FAFSA on file with the ASU Office of Student Financial Assistance
Must show evidence of community service and/or university involvement
Desert Schools Community Service Scholarship   Must complete 50 hours of documented, qualified community service between June 1, 2009 and February 26, 2010 February 26, 2010
Must be a 2010 graduating high school senior
Must be a child or a relative of a current member, or be a member of Desert Schools Federal Credit Union
Must have a cumulative high school GPA of 3.0 or above

Must have a current GPA of 3.0 or more
Sybil B. Harrington Scholarship (St. Luke's Svc. League)   Must be an American citizen and a resident of Maricopa County February 26, 2010
Must be pursuing 12 credit hours, or more, in a healthcare related career
Must plan to attend or are attending an accredited AZ college, university, community college or an accredited vocational program In Maricopa County
Must have a current GPA of 3.0 or more
Asian Pacific Islanders Scholarship Program   Must be a graduating high school senior, planning to attend an accredited college or vocational school March 1, 2010 by 5:00 p.m.
Minimum GPA of 2.75 on a 4.0 scale
Must be of an ethnic or cultural background
Must plan to attend an accredited college or vocational school
Must be an AZ resident
Dept of Ed - Robert C. Byrd Honors Scholarship   Must be a graduating high school senior March 5, 2010
Must be an AZ resident
Must have applied for and been acepted for enrollment at an accredited college or univesity
Must certify that he/she is not ineligible to receive assistance as a result of default on a Federal student loan or other obligation
Must be nominated by eitehr their principal or high school counselor
Otto & Edna Neely Foundation $3,000 per academic year Must be a US citizen  March 5, 2010
Must be a resident of AZ
Must maintain a semester and a cumulative GPA of 2.5 or better
Must have demonstrated financial need
Must plan to attend an academic college within AZ, enroll as a full time student and complete 12 hours or more each semester in classes toward a degree program.
Homa & Irene Wood Foundation Scholarship   Must be enrolled as a full-time student in any GPS high school March 8, 2010
Must successfully complete all high school graduation requirements
Must earn 2.5 or higher cumulative GPA
Must be eligible for acceptance as a full-time student (at least 12 credit hours per semester) in a degree or certification-oriented college, university or technical school
Must xcore a minimum combined total of 1,000 on the SAT or 20 on the ACT
Must demonstrate financial need through FAFSA Student Award Report
Must demonstrate the pursuit of various financial assistance resources
Preference given to students who will be the first in their family to graduate from college.
Luke Officers' Spouses' Club   Must be a graduating high school senior March 16, 2010
Must be a dependent child of military personnel assigned to or attached to Luke Air Force Base, who is entitled to a military ID card
Must be a dependent child of retired military personnel who reside in the Luke area, utilize Luke facilities, and who is entitled to a military identification card.
Must be a dependent child of active duty military personnel serving in a remote assignment, whose dependents reside in the Luke area, utilize Luke facilities and is entitled to a military ID card.
Young American Creative Patriotic Art Awards   Must be a current high school student in the same state as the sponsoring Ladies Auxiliary March 31, 2010
Home-schooled students are eligible, foreign exchange students are not.
Casey Family Scholars Program   This scholarship will award approximately 75 new scholarships for undergraduate study and career/technical training at accredited institutions and programs. March 31, 2010
American Legion Auxiliary - Patriotic Community Service $500 Must have a GPA of 3.0 or higher April 1, 2010
Must be a graduating female senior from a Gilbert, AZ high school, private or public
Must have completed a minimum of 20 hours of Patriotic Community Service in her senior year
Must get a letter of recommendation from a current teacher
Joe Onisko Memorial Scholarship $1,000 Must have a 2.0 GPA or higher April 5, 2010
Must write an essay on: What are your goals for the future and how will this scholarship help you reach them?
Must have a letter from your counselor recommending you for this scholarship
Youth Automobile Safety Scholarship Program from $500 to $1,500 Must be an AZ resident April 5, 2010
Must be a current high school senior
Must have a cumulative GPA of at least 3.0
Must have been accepted to an accredited two or four year college or university, or trade school with intent to enroll as a full time freshman by the fall 2010 session.
Must have a parent or legal guardian currently employed full time by a government entity
Civil Service Employees Insurance Company employees, relatives and its agents and vendors are not eligible.
AZ Elk Society Scholarship various Must be an AZ resident, graduating high school seniors with plans to attend an accredited college January 18, 2010
Must have a minimum GOA of 2.7 on a 4.0 scale
Must support and actively participate in the preservation of hunting
Must be a current member of the AZ Elk Society
Must be involved in school or community activities supporting conservation and/or leadership positions within the community
Must submit an essay describing why wildlife conservation is important to them
Must have three letters of recommendation

Seniors - The Mahanah Club is offering a $1,000.00 scholarship to a senior who has demonstrated community service, has financial need, must be between 11% -40% of class rank and plan to attend a post high school program in Arizona after high school.
 
Seniors -Kaibab Industries, is offering a $2,000.00 scholarship, you must submit a 1 page statement outlining academic and community leadership.
 
  Seniors- KFC is offering a $5,000.00 scholarship you must have a minimum GPA of 2.75 or better, plan to enroll in an Arizona college or university and plan to pursue a bachelor’s degree.

 The Gates Millennium Scholars is offering scholarship to students who meet the following criteria:
Are African American, American Indian/Alaska Native, Asian Pacific Islander or Hispanic American. Are a citizen/ permanent resident of the United States.  Have attained a cumulative unweighted GPA of 3.3 and meet the Federal Pell Grant eligibility criteria.  If you think you meet these requirements you must attend an information meeting on Wednesday Oct. 28 during the first 15 minutes of 4th or 5th hour lunch in the career center.  See Mrs DiMauro in the career center if you have questions.
   
Freshman-Seniors - The American Legion Oratorical Scholarship Program is offering scholarship monies from $1,500.00 to $18,000.00.
 
Freshman-Seniors The Young American Creative patriotic Art Awards is offering scholarships from $500.00-$10,000.00.
 
Freshman-Senior Girls - The Violet Richman Award is offering a scholarship to a young female who significant accomplishments as a volunteer, is compassionate, creative and committed to making the world a better place.
